Adelaide Advertiser
Advertiser Newspapers in 2010 planned the introduction of significant structural and procedural changes for the circulation department.
It was identified that the Circulation Area Managers will play a front line role in the proposed business changes and require support and personal development to cope with the change process. Many of the team members had worked with the company in the same or similar positions for a number of years and the same systems, structures and performance expectations had always been in place.
Advertiser Newspapers engaged the services of Altitude to take the team through their four month High Performance program. What we wanted to achieve from the program for the team was a greater acceptance of change in our business and an ability to step up and take various business challenges head on and be accountable to deliver key outcomes.
Gillian worked closely with the team over the four months utilising a combination of team workshops and individual mentoring. I know from the feedback I received that the mentoring sessions particularly helped my team members to work through specific challenges they were facing in their own business units. The mentoring also enabled the individual team members to be more open and honest about personal obstacles that might have hindered their ability to embrace the future business changes and renewed performance expectations.
The Altitude program showed the team how to think and react differently; to take on new challenges and better deal with commercial pressures that the proposed changes will bring to their daily roles.
Gillian and the Altitude High Performance program delivered real and measurable results for the team and we will continue to re-engage her services throughout the business transformation process.
